Dan Miller made a name for himself in the UFC by stepping up to fight on short notice. Now the former IFL standout will get a chance to see what the sidelines feel like after an untimely infection has forced him out of his fight against CB Dollaway on Sept. 16.
MMAmadness is reporting that Octagon newcomer Jay Silva has agreed to try and cage “The Doberman” on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 19 next week.
The dangerous Silva is perfect through five fights. After submitting Mark DaPolito in his mixed martial arts debut at Ring of Combat last year, Silva went on an absolute tear, ending his next four contests by way of (T)KO.
While Miller was no pushover, Silva should be considered a very dangerous replacement — just ask Reggie Orr, who was the victim of a Silva flying knee at “Call to Arms” back in May…
