WEC 44: “Brown vs. Aldo” from “The Pearl” at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, attracted 1,845 total attendees for a live gate of $131,000, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released today.
However, 713 of those in attendance received complimentary tickets, while the remaining crowd (1,132) purchased seats to the event. The remaining 297 tickets went unsold.
WEC 44 featured a main card headlined by a featherweight title fight between Mike Brown and Jose Aldo with the promotion’s 145-pound title on the line. Aldo put on a striking clinic to capture the crown in impressive fashion with a second round technical knockout finish.
